The Laguna Beach Water Polo Club focuses on developing the tools athletes need to achieve their own personal potential and to exceed the boundaries of their physical gifts and talents in a training environment that is fun, positive and team-oriented. The coaches collaboratively work together to progressively develop the fundamental skills of both individual and team play in an environment that is challenging but never overwhelming. Water polo is a team sport: respect, teamwork and integrity are the steadfast guiding principles of the Laguna Beach Water Polo Club.
Open to ages 8-14 years old, both boys and girls. Beginners are welcome. Swimming is an integral part of water polo and coaches will help develop fundamental swimming skills and proficiency while developing fundamental water polo skills. New members must be able to easily swim 50 yards with no difficulty and tread water.
Practices are held 3-4 evenings a week. Some weekend games and tournaments may be scheduled and will require additional fees. While participation in these games and tournaments is strongly recommended, it is not required. Practice schedules and game calendar per age group are available at Club Calendar.
Registration will auto-assign athletes to a 23/24 team based on their birthdate:
10U Coed: Born 8/2/13 – 8/1/15
12U boys and girls team: Born 8/2/11 – 8/1/13
14U boys and girls team: Born 8/2/09 – 8/1/11
* Across all water polo clubs in the US, each participant in water polo must register for a membership with USA Water Polo.
NEW MEMBER REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Registration is on a rolling basis and new participants can sign up with the “New Club Member” link below to join the club.
Step 2. Sign up with USA Water Polo as a "Gold Membership" prior to your first day of practice. This is mandatory for all water polo clubs for participation and insurance reasons. Click the link below to register for the “Gold Membership” with USA Water Polo.

FREE ONE WEEK TRIAL REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Available to new participants for a free one week trial of practice on the following weeks:
Jan 9th, Feb 5th, March 4th, April 1st, May 6th, June 3rd
Step 1. Any player that plans to trial a week of practice during the above weeks must register for the “One Week Trial” club registration with the link below.
